I was quite impressed by my 'Schmalz' experience! It reminded me so much of one of my favorite garden stores in NY [we are "transplants" from 2 years ago]- Grossmans Nursery. Their products were high quality, great/ varied selection and the staff extremely knowledgable. Kudos to the owners of this fine nursery!

Used to have a very good selection of hostas, but every year they seem to have less and less. I have found them to be cheaper than Stein's and Fox Valley nursery on a lot of their shrubs.

Nice selection of trees/shrubs/vines/perennials. I was impressed. Semi-decent prices on perennials, vines and shrubs. Trees are more pricey. Lots of variety. Nice place. Wish they stayed open longer than 6:00 p.m.
