The prices are reasonable for the quality and warranty that you get. They also have truck load sales which offer incredible bargains for high quality plants. I first went to them at the recommendation of my neighbors who have been very satisfied with them and have never regretted it. I highly recommend Wentworth's.

They have always asked if I needed help to bring my purchases to the car. They are a bit more pricey that some other stores, but have excellent plants and a great selection of perennials.

How would they afford it?...cut the staff by 50% and double the wages so they can attract people that actually know their business!

Since Wentworth's prices are much higher, they need to provide customer service and quality to make up the difference. Customer service is a concept they haven't yet discovered-- either that or they find it a waste of time. The young people they hire-- which is apparently pretty much the entire work staff-- simply have miserable manners. They watch you struggle to get large items to the register and/or to your vehicle without so much as an acknowledgment of your difficulties, let alone an offer of help. You can have four 50-pound bags of mulch, topsoil, birdseed etc. and they'll just yawn as they watch you walk back and forth with your purchases. Ask them a question and they'll act like it's just such a bother to get you an answer. I've had better service at the big boxes, but I've had much better service at other local nurseries, which is where I'll be going from now on.
