Fancher's is a magical place. The Hunter family has gone up there the day after Thanksgiving for over 10 years now. We call ahead to reserve a table and when we arrive the fire is roaring our table is waiting with a couple of horseshoe pits to make the day even more fun. Pack a picnic, bring a bottle of wine or two and don't forget to offer something to the staff. This has become part of the Hunter family holiday tradition and gets us moving into Christmas. After we have our lunch we all trudge in the forest to pick our trees. Our nephew is the envy of his neighbors when he brings his back to Las Vegas, NV. One year we had so much snow on the ground the tables had to be dug out and the horseshoe pits disappeared. But what fund the kids had building a snowman and throwing snow balls. Plus it made the tree hunting even more magical. Happy holidays from the Hunter family. Make your own family tradition. Debbie & Allen Hunter

Going up today again for the fourth or fifth year to select from fir, cedar, spruce trees growing "wild" on the farm. Planning on leftovers by the campfire and good family time after we get fabulous trees. =)
