This nursery was in the L.A. Daily News last week on an article about native/drought tolerant plants. He basically downplayed the fact that more people are going this route;(getting rid of the lawn, rethinking plant choices, etc.) He is a seller of Marathon sod; that is the reason. My solution is to skip traditional nurseries altogether and concentrate on specialty/internet companies. A traditional nursery will try to talk you out of going the lawn-free route. They also think that you are not smart enough to do this type of gardening. do a little homework and some research and it is no more difficult than traditional gardening. I would never recommend this nursery to anyone. The only nursery worth anyone's time in the Santa Clarita Valley is Green Arrow Nursery. They at least carry some natives as well as a fine selection of drought-tolerant plants.
