If you find yourself on California’s highway 120 between Oakdale and Ripon in the Central Valley, be sure and stop in at Poot's House of Cactus. Even if you are not a cactus or succulent plant lover, it is still worth a stop. Poot's boasts a wide variety of unusual and hard to find plants. The grounds are landscaped with Cacti and succulents surrounding a waterfall that flows down a stream to a koi pond. It is spectacular in the springtime when the cacti are in bloom. The Poot's themselves are very friendly and knowledgeable about the plants they sell. Bring your wallet, because you won't want to leave without a few of their plants.
