Stopped by to purchase some plants and bought five Little Henry Itea, three Little Princess spirea, three butterfly bush, five weigelia and three flats of annuals. Also ordered six yards of mulch to have delivered while checking out. Should have read some of these posts before making my purchases b/c was very disappointed to realize I had overpaid by an avergae of $8 per plant. When I called to discuss, I was told that plants are not returnable and they offer no warranty either. Should have shopped around a bit more to places like the new DelVal College Market on Lower State Road, Bucks Country Gardens on 611 or Karens on VBirstol Road -- all were less expensive and the quality was the same.

I purchased 5 rose bushes (top quality) and spent over $151 for them. In less than one month, the leaves of one of the rose bushes have turned yellow and are falling off the plant. I called the Farm & Garden Station and they refused to replace the rose bush or return the money.
I feel that it is necessary to state that I have previously purchased a couple of thousand dollars over the years from this company. This is a very foolish business practice considering the time frame involved. We certainly will not be going back.

In response to the last two contributors....why are you complaining in January 09 when F&G didn't open thier doors until March? Something doesn't ring true.

I'm planning on going back to F&G for my spring/summer gardening needs. Hopefully I will get the same wonderful quality of flowers and vegetable plants that I had last year. Their merchandise has always been lush and beautiful and their prices were the lowest last year, especially the gorgeous hanging baskets!!!

Ouch; should have read and listened. Drove over from Doylestown area and stopped in. Prices are high and quality is average. Will not return as there are better places out there with better plants at cheaper prices.

Agree with the previous write-up. I too had been a reglar at Farm & Garden before their prices began to skyrocket and their family-atmosphere turned into yet another "big-store" mentality. Their plant material is on par with all of the other nurseries around (probably 5 within a 10-minute drive) and their prices are a bit higher. Staff is friendly but not like they used to be and you never see the same people twice to ask questions (except the brothers who seem more interested with the money in the register than they do with answering any questions or talking to the customers).

A nice place to visit but unless you want to pay higher prices and not be helped, look elsewhere.

I was a customer since they opened several years ago. When they first opened, very friendly family atmosphere where the two brothers run the show and the rest of the family helped out. Prices were very reasonable and they went out of their way to help you. Delivery was not a problem and I used them for plant materials, bulk materials (mulch and stone) and even Christmas trees. Then, within the last two years, they have grown exponentially and they rate better than eveyone else. Their prices have steadily increased to where they are higher than some and on par with others (not less than anyone). They charge for all deliveries and the family atmosphere is gone. The family still owns and works there, but they have grown too much and their overhead is reflected in their prices. Have nice plant material but they buy from Feeney's wholesale, Monrovia, Coles nurseries and they same wholesale places everyone else does in the area so their material is nothing special.

Not worth the trip anymore (I'm only eight miles away) as I would rather save money by going elsewhere. Obviously modeling themselves after Rhoads Garden in Montgomeryville and Gasper Landscapes in Northampton and charging like them too.
