Greensgrow Farms is small compared the the big garden centers I've gone too, but much larger than the lame offerings at the big box stores we all know. And one must keep in mind that they are not open all year- see their website for current hours and days. And after June 4th, they are only open two days a week, but it is well worth it to head up here when they're open. It was wonderful. When I got there, the people were exremely friendly and helpful, and the plants were sprawling! It was like a little bit of heaven in the middle of the city. I found all sorts of things- the usual as well as the not so usual. The vegetable selection is great (they even have heirloom tomatoes), and the plants are huge!! No seedlings here LOL. The prices were hard to beat- the big box stores are three times as high, and the plants not nearly as nice. I got plants that were monsters! And the people there are very knowledgable as well, offering advice and tips as they are packaging up your goodies. I will definitely be back- this was the most fun I've had garden shopping in a long time!!
