We frequently visit Maine from the Hudson Valley in New York and always stop by Hidden Gardens and fill our vehicle with as many plants as we possibly can to the point where their other customers and our families crack up with how many plants we can pack in our car. Carla and Bob are always so happy to provide information, offer suggestions, and the plants we have obtained from them have done very well in our gardens and are much less expensive than even other nurseries in central Maine not to mention NY. You are in for a real treat when you go to Hidden Garden.

We visited Carla on the spur of moment, visiting nurseries all over the country when traveling. It is a bit hidden, and the particularly difficult Spring/Summer of 2009 did not excape their gardens either.
We found some very nice, unusual varieties, and well grown plants.Carla was able to banter with us on plants at ease, and their prices make it an even nicer experience.

Will go back next year when things are actively growing to acquire more plants. Open pretty much May - Sept. every day.

Carla and Bob are an experienced horticultural team offering native plants, butterfly plants, shrubs, small trees, and just about every "must have" old-fashioned and classic perennial, from unusual bush and vine clematis to lace cap blue hydrangeas to rare gentians.
