The United States National Arboretum is open daily 8:00am - 5:00pm, except December 25th. Admission is free. Free parking is available, but can fill quickly when the Azaleas are blooming, and during special events. There is shuttle service on a seasonal basis.
The National Arboretum has an excellent, extensive website, including resources for gardeners and a 'What's Blooming' page.
The Arboretum's major collections include Dogwoods, Azaleas, Boxwoods, Bonsai and Penjing, Dwarf Conifers, Perennials, State Trees and others
