RWR specializes in rare plant material for the Ottawa area. Dwarf conifers and hostas are their main focus, and they also have a good selection of grasses, shrubs and trees. They also have a small collection of choice perennials. The conifers and perennials are a bit expensive, but the high quality and rare factor make them so; the hostas are reasonably priced with an excellent selection. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and live on the property.

Allow lots of time to visit this nursery; an entire afternoon will go by in a blink of an eye. There are 3 acres of display gardens and paths to encourage people to wander through the mature plantings and stroll the network of trails through the woods. You will see stunning combinations, unusual shrubs, a dwarf conifer display garden, mature hostas throughout the woods and lots of garden art and statuary.
At the hub of the sales area is a huge gazebo where you pay for your plants.
