Bernardo Beach has a nursery on Arno St. in Albuquerque. It was started by Judith Phillips who is the author of many gardening books including "The New Mexico Gardener's Guide." She is, in my opinion, one of the most knowledgeable gardeners in the state. The nursery specializes in xeric plants that are known to thrive in the hostile high desert climate of New Mexico. Prices are considerably lower than those of the local High Country Gardens retail outlets.

Almost every plant I have purchased from them has thrived in my yard. All their plants are out in the open in the environment they are meant to be planted in - hardened off Friendly, informed staff.
