Excellent place for a day trip. Lovely area, lots of different varieties of free apples to sample, fantastic apple pie slices for only $2.00 with ice cream if you want, caramel coated apples, turnovers, donuts, fresh and frozen pies, and cider available for purchase. Plus, a wide variety of jams, honey, molasses, apple butter, cheese, apple salsa... Also you can purchase 5 pound bags of fresh apples for $5.00. Walk around the grounds too. There are picnic tables inside and outside to eat your treats. There is an historic cabin nearby. You can't go inside but peeking in the windows is allowed. The orchard is long-term family owned and operated and they're always very friendly. The place stays open until November. Don't be surprised at the number of cars parked outside!

Nice place. Not only do they have several different varieties of apples, but also sell apple pie, caramel apples, cider, etc.

I neglected to say they are about two minutes from Devil's Lake State Park, so it is especially nice to be able to visit the park when fall colors are changing, and then stop at SkiHi for cider or apple pie.
