Great hiking can be found here this park north of San Francisco and the Golden Gate. With over 6,300 acres of redwood groves, oak woodlands, grassland slopes, chaparral and rocky ridges, you can pick from several trails of varying terrain and length. If you get on some of the peak trails, you can see spectacular views of the nearby Pacific and the surrounding San Francisco Bay Area.
Also included are picnic areas, historic landmarks, biking, tent camping, horseback riding, group camping, overnight cabins, and two almost 100 year old inns.
