Hill Orchard was one of the last working orchards in Westford and was threatened by development. The town of Westford bought the orchard and now has a contract farmer run the orchard and farm stand. Monadnock Berries has done an excellent job keeping up the orchard, running the farm stand etc. The farm stand is excellent carrying fresh produce (not just apples), baked goods, jellies, honey, etc. in season. It is a great place to take the kids to pick apples. Many school field trips are held here also.
