Having just visited this site (April 2008) was very impressed with the beautiful plantings and gardens! Just about every genre of gardens is represented: annuals, perennials, water plants, succulents, conifers, roses, spring flowering bulbs, etc. In addition to the gardens there is a large glass house with an impressive collection of tender plants: palms, begonias, orchids, etc. One nice thing is the gardens are about 95% accessible by wheelchair over wood walkways or flat stone paths. Only a small number of garden paths are grass or dirt paths. There is quite a nice childrens garden where children can run around and interact without worrying about staying on paths, etc. I highly recommend a visit to this garden!!! We took about 2 hours to tour this site due to having to catch a flight home. I would allow at least 2-3 hours to see the gardens and have lunch or a light snack. Great gift shop with unique gifts for the gardener. Also recommend wearing a sun hat and sun screen as about 1/3 of the gardens are full sun.

This is a great garden. It has twice/year sales with great vendors, a chinese tea room, conservatory, excellent garden shop, good programs, & wonderful gardens. There is something every season of the year. Check out the orchids in the conservatory! Children's events are posted frequently.
