Greengate has a good supply of plants, and although I would prefer more hard-to-find tropicals in their greenhouse (they have one of the best built greenhouses I have ever visited at a retail nursery), I do occasionally find a gem--you just have to be patient. Most of their plants tend to be routine items you would find at Lowe's garden centers, but that is likely due to demand--I am guessing the average gardener is looking for generic, easy-to-grow plants, and that those type(s) of plants sell the best.

Greengate tends to be overpriced on their garden accessories, but you can attribute that to the nursery's location in the more affluent, pretentious area of Lake Charles (Barbe School District). If you're used to buying lawn ornaments at Walmart or Lowes, check out their prices to give yourself a shock!

For plants and supplies though, I do recommend them--I found a Musa Siam Ruby last year that was a good 3-4 feet tall, for under $20, and that is a bargain!
