This is a fabulous, medium-sized arboretum for everyone, but especially for families with young children and for those that may need wheelchair access. The paths through the main grounds are all paved, as is the path to the Butterfly House. The Bulb Garden is beautiful in the springtime, and the Crabapple Allee' is quite a sight in the spring as well. The Butterfly House is the main attraction in summer, although there are still plenty of plants to enjoy all through the growing season. A picnic patio beside one of the primary ponds is a nice place to sit if you bring a lunch along. Seminars and special event listings are available through the MetroParks website. No pets allowed.
