I need some help finding the name for this. Also, does anyone know how I can take divisions so I can share it with my friends at DG? Any info if greatly appreciated!

looks like a form of portulaca
It should root easily from a stem cutting

Thank you, arfitz for responding so quickly. I looked at that plant and it closely resembles mine but I believe it might be something else. Mine is a bush that is about 3 ft high and the trunk is more woody and twisted like a grape vine.

It looks like a potentilla to me - small shrub that flowers continuously. Also deer resistant, I just planted for my new garden & love it. The one I have is Dakota Sunspot which may be a little more golden than yours looks. Good luck!

Definitely a Potentilla (potentilla fruticosa).

Thank you both! I also love it and it does keep the blooms going.

I think it's Portulaca. Should be easily propagated by root cuttings.

The foliage on portulaca is sprawly and looks more like a succulent than the foliage on potentilla which is more woody and shrub-like. Whatever it is, it's pretty.

Definitely potentilla. Portulaca is more of a ground cover and I'd be stuuned and amazed to see it grow to 3' tall.

I used the potentilla as the background for this Japanese iris, Enticing Geisha, here:

That is so very pretty! I think I'll have to see if they grow in my zone. Thanks for sharing the pictures. You helped while asking for help. :)
