My lavender hasn't come back from winter weather yet and we've had some 80 degree days already! It still looks dead and woody. Do you think it's a goner?

What kind of lavender was it? Many of them aren't hardy in zone 5 so if it's one of those then it's most likely dead. English lavender (L. angustifolia) is the only one I know of that can be hardy in zone 5, but you're on the bottom end of their hardiness range and with lavenders in a wetter climate like yours, if you have borderline hardiness plus anything less than perfect drainage that will often cause them not to make it through the winter. But if it's one that should be hardy in your area and you've got it in a berm, raised bed, etc where it has really good drainage I wouldn't give up on it yet--even though you've had some 80 degree days your soil probably still hasn't completely warmed up yet, so it may not realize it's time to grow yet.

My Lavender has just begun to barely show new growth...give it a week or so.
