My property slopes from front to back. In the front yard, it is ok (other than running under our home), however in the back yard I have a rather steep sloping area that is fairly large; it tends to make a swamp (maybe an 8th of the acre I am on). I would like to plant some trees...bushes...flowers...any and everything to help with this. The area gets quite a bit of sun. I have no idea what to plant, that does not cost an arm and a leg, to help with this. I am poor - it's that simple.
Please give me your thoughts on this!
Trees and shrubs--River birch, red twig dogwood (these two look great together btw), willows, service berry, sweet pepperbush, some viburnum are fine in wet soil, red maples I think, winterberry holly
