We have planted Siberian Elms on the property line, and they are doing good. However we are seeing on a nightly basis that something is cutting/breaking the thin ones off about 6 to 8 inches up. It appears to be a clean cut. We live in Southwest Florida, inland some. Any ideas on what this may be and how to stop? The thicker bushes are doing okay. Thank You

Do you have deer in your area? They'd be my first suspect.

If these are seedlings are are being cut off at 6-8 inches from the ground. And the cut is a sharp slanted clean cut, I'd suspect cottontail rabbits.
