Kawonkamish,

I have this Mallow growing in my garden. I was told it was Althaea armeniaca, but the leaves do not look like that species. They do look some what like A. cannabina, but not quite the same. Can anyone help me figure out which one this is? These three different leaves came off the same plant.

I'm so sorry but I can't ID it. Will go through some of my plant books and see if I can and if I do, I'll be happy to let you know. Lee
PS..Love the cat images. You are very clever.

I think it looks like Callirhoe involucrata. See what you think...

The flowers, which are barely visible in the photos, don't seem to match callirhoe. Might be a sidalcea? Or maybe Malva moschata?

Kawonkamish,

I think altagardener is right. The flowers are not like Callirhoe involucrata. The leaves and flowers look more like Sidalcea malviflora. I guess that is what it is. Darn, I traded seeds to some people thinking it was Althaea armeniaca. I will have to let them know it was wrong. Thank you all for helping me.

Update: It may not be S. malviflora. I checked and it says it only reaches 24 inches in height. The plant I have reaches 48 inches and more. I guess I need to keep looking. Thank you.
