flowerfantasy Washington, IN (Zone 6a) November 14, 2008 10:45 PM	Hi does any one know where I can find out about these. They are a species of columbine. There are 2 different ones that I am interested in and if any one can give me some info I would appreciate it

flowerfantasy Washington, IN (Zone 6a) November 15, 2008 12:14 AM	Basically a little of all of it . Mostly where I can find some. I did find some on one of the gardening sites but I thought the price was a little steep. So I thought maybe some of you out there might have some seed for sale or trade, and could tell me a little about them. The other one I am looking for is of the same species but it is called swallow tail. Thanks
altagardener Calgary, AB (Zone 3b) November 15, 2008 12:47 AM	It's also known as A. chaplinei. I don't know which of the two is the current name, but knowing that may help in your searches. If you are not able to find someone who can trade seeds, they are available from Alplains (an excellent source of seeds of native plants) and from B&T World Seeds - both have websites. They have also been available in the past from NARGS, in case you are a member of that group (one has to be a member to participate in the seed exchange).
