What's this plant?: SOLVED: Carolina Lupine????

Georgiaredclay lagrange, GA (Zone 7a) June 15, 2001 11:04 PM	Need help with the id of this plant. I think it is Caroline Lupine but not sure. It came up on its on. About two years ago I had the same flower and tried to move it to one of my beds and it didn't come back. I had another one a couple of years before that it didn't come back. The stalk puts out yellow flowers. Thanks Jim View Larger

Jerseyguy Princeton, NJ (Zone 6a) June 16, 2001 01:07 AM	Its a verbascum a.k.a. mullien. Carolina lupine is Thermopsis caroliniana and has leaves that are trifoliate (in clusters of three).
