I am interested in planting some asparagus, enough for 2 adults. I only have about 4 hours of sun, from 11am until 3pm. Is this enough sun? If so, how large does my planting site need to be? I am in zone 8a. What kind should I plant?

Hi Jerry,
I have a link for you on growing asparagus.
When you buy asparagus, it comes in a group of roots. Probably 25 per bundle, at least here in Maine. I planted some in a bed this past spring and it has done really well, so I think it is pretty hardy. LOL
The plants are pretty inexpensive, so I say go for it. Here in Maine a bundle is less than $10 at Paris Farmer's Union. If you have purchased asparagus lately at the grocery store or market, you know that investment is a real bargain.
