I have this black and white drawing of a plant and wondered if anyone had ideas of what it is?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Sorry to dig up an older thread but I saw this and immediately thought fringe tree. (Chionanthus virginicus) http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1654/

It's a large shrub with spectacular fragrance when in bloom.

It look possible like fringe tree - the drawings doesn't look perfect - two leaves are fused together at the tip. And I couldn't tell if the one in the center is a trumpet type flower or a cluster of leaves. There's too many buds for flowering dogwood.
