This looks like beach ground cherry (Physalis cinerascens var. cinerascens) to me, based on what I see in Alfred Richardson's "Wildflowers and Other Plants of Texas Beaches and Islands." Do you experts agree? I want to post some pictures to the PlantFiles.

Those wildflower.org pictures are helpful - thanks. The seedpods on my specimens convince me the i.d. is right.
