Vegetables: too late for a cover crop?

davis1676 Disputanta, VA (Zone 7a) October 31, 2009 09:03 PM	I was thinking about beefing up my garden soil by planting a cover crop. I may be too late in thinking about it but I hope not. Someone suggested fava beans or hairy vetch but anything considered a cover crop would probably help. Any suggestions or thoughts?
HoneybeeNC Charlotte, NC (Zone 7b) November 02, 2009 12:54 PM	I'm in zone 7b and have already decided that it's too late here to plant a cover crop of red clover. If you have a seed packet, see what that suggests for your location.
