We have this weird looking bug walking all over our tomato plant. We are trying to attract beneficial bugs so I need to know if this is a "good" bug or "bad" bug.

The bug is about 1/4" to 1/2" long. The body is similar to an ant but is not segmented. It is bright orangey, red in color with six spidery kind of looking black legs. It also had antennae.

Anybody know what this thing is??

Wish you had a picture. Hard to tell just by description. Might be an immature Lady Bug.

I'm thinking maybe it's the babies of either a leaf-footed bug or assassin bug.

If it's a Velvet Ant - take care, the sting is very painful - here's a link:
