I purchased two ornamental grass pots from Home Depot about the first of September. The seed pods dried out and I harvested them. I planted some in the ground, some in some pots and kept most of them to plant later. What is the proper way to plant them. I do not know what type of grass it is, but it is about 3' tall, the grass leaves are dark green and then turn red violet and the seed pods are light brown.

There are many, many kinds. Can you post a picture? If you can someone may be able to help you. I have Golden Sedge. I planted it just as I would any other plant. I have had it for several years and it has done great.
