I just bought Nepeta subsessilis (sp) 'Sweet Dreams'. Does this plant spread invasively by roots? Should I plant it directly into the flower bed or keep in a pot? The word mint makes me a little nervous and after reading the plant files, I see that it has some potential for invasiveness. Your input is appreciated.

It basically grows in a clump. The clump does get larger every year.I get a few volunteer seedlings that have self seeded, they pull out easily. It does not behave like other mints sending runners everywhere.I bought 2 small plants years ago.Today they have grown together to form 1 large plant.I like this plant. It has a long blooming time.Bees love it.It smells nice and is pretty. It is very hardy in my zone 5.I have zero regrets for adding it to my garden.Edge

Wow edge, thanks for the GREAT advice!
I'm excited about planting it!
Yes, there were bees all over it at the nursery. That and the HYSSOP which was SO covered in bees I left it alone! But may eventually try it also!
THANKS!
