I do not live in Florida anymore, but I cannot find where to change that. I live in SC and built a raised bed above the red clay that is my yard. I did research when this began and saw that too much water may be the problem and did not water any more. The problem just got worse. I do not think the plant is salvagable. Is it too late to plant a new one?
I don't think it is too late. They produce in 50 days or less. If it was water logged and the roots were damaged the whole plant will be affected. I would just pull out the plant and throw it away (not in the compost pile) and start again in another spot. I never say its too late, unless it could freeze, because you never really know what the weather will do. What have you got to lose, try it again.
